VC Rocks June Blog Hop

This month our theme was any size card. I chose to make a standard Vintage card that I cased from the very talented Sandi MacIver,  I saw this card on her blog a few months ago and just loved it.

I also decided to destress the Vintage Wallpaper using Tea Stain from the retired Destressing Essentials. Added some Pearls for Bling.

I AM HERE!!

Anyone following my sisters blog or mine knows I have been planning a move to Las Vegas. Well it has been one thing after another but my son Joe and I it to my sister lovely home last week. My Pod from ABF finally made it here late Monday. It took all of us a couple of days but everything is inside and the pod is gone. Now how long it takes to put everything together that now that is another story.

Good news in the moving process I lost 5lbs, yeah!!! I joined the Y here with my sister, her husband and my son. We get up pretty early, but it is fun.

I am sure more will come with my journey. I just know my sister home is lovely, and for her to share it with my son and I is most gracious and kind.

Moving update

Today is my last day to sort, pack and give away my things. It is bring an sunny today, even though the weather man said possible rain. Whoops! missed that one. Tomorrow the movers come, and then it is getting  me ready to leave. Oh for those that do not know I am moving to Las Vegas to Indiana. I cannot stand the cold winters anymore. You should see my house, boxes, boxes and more boxes. Enough for now.

Beware of the Bacon

I know everyone knows I am moving to Las Vegas to live with my lovely sister Brenda, but what allot of you don't know is 3rd 10 days ago I was cooking bacon, well I was trying a new idea (that I got from Rachael Ray) that is to bake your bacon, it helps get rid of all the fat and is a little more figure friendly.

Well I must not have listen to the directions because when i pulled the bacon out of the oven the baking sheet wobbled and the hot grease went on the top of my foot and I have 3rd degree burns. Now let me tell you that was painful, I could have kicked myself if it wouldn't have hurt. Now I am sorting and packing hobbling around on one foot. It is funny. The good news is the blisters have all drained on their own and now the healing begins.


Yesterday I finally could get on with bandage my sandal, so now I can board that plane!!!!

Lesson in all this Beware of the Bacon!!!
