VC Rocks May's Blog Hop

If you are new to our blog hops, you probably are wondering what VC Rocks is all about.

VC ROCKS stands for Virtual Convention and it ROCKS! This is a group of SU Demonstrators and non SU Demonstrators who love to stamp. We get together every year from April through August to hang out and have fun. The group hosts card and 3D swaps, challenges, make-n-takes, training and a virtual hotel. The virtual hotel is similar as if you were going to Stampin' Up's annual convention and having roomies. Oops almost forgot the pool boys. The only thing we don't get to do is have Starbucks together every morning. This is my favorite thing to do along with hanging out at the pool.

If you have arrived here from the very talented Mary Campbell's blog , then you are in the right place. If not, you can start at the beginning at the VC Rock Blog  here at anytime.

This month's project was to create a project with one or more HEARTS.. stamp it, MDS it, scrapbook it, whatever.. but it must feature a Heart...  I chose to make a card using SU's new Heart framelits.

Front of card

Inside of card

Supplies:

Card Stock                          Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeaide
Dsp                                      Everyday Enchantment Designer series paper
Punches                               2 step Bird punch
Ribbon                                Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeaide from Ribbon and Brad enchantment pack
Dies                                     Hearts framelits

Lace                                     scraps from my project box
Embossing Folder                Stripes
Stamping Ink                        Soft Seude
Stamp Set                             Vintage Labels (retired)

This card was easier to make than it looks. I ran a piece of Calypso Coral through my Big Shot using the Stripes embossing folder.  Then on one half of the cardstock, I placed the Heart framelits on top of  the stripes and cut out a heart, which made a window into the center of the card.  Then I ran Dsp through to make smaller hearts, and my lace scrap to make a medium heart. I punched out a couple of birds.  I put the ribbon together and knotted them every so often and attached to one of the hearts. I also lined the heart with Basic Pearls for some Bling!

I hope you have enjoyed your stay here, and its time to move onto see what Brenda has in store for you, I know it will be awesome.
