I just want to share a recipe today
I have enjoyed this recipe because it is so versatile and easy. You can make it as it stands or add Cinnamon, Cheddar Cheese or Buttermilk instead of milk.
Cooking Temperture; 450
Baking Time: 10-12 minutes
Quanity: 8
Ingredients:
2 c flour (self rising)
1 T baking powder
2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c melted unsalted butter
1 c milk
You can substitute with low fat butter(I use I can't believe it butter), Buttermilk,Splenda and salt free salt. I tried them all and it doesn't change the consistancy of the batter.
In a large bowl combine; flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and blend together. Stir in milk and melted butter until moisten. Drop on greased cookie sheet by spoon or you can use parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Now for the fun part. I have been creating a biscuit to go with spicy porkchops I make and it is using the same recipe but adding:
2 cloves of diced garlic
1 T Parsley
1 tsp Dill
and add a handfull of cheddar cheese
My family loved them. They get the Yummy Award in my house.
I hope you enjoy my family's biscuit recipe, and tell me what you think.
